Ephesians 6:12 (NKJV)  For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

First let's get one thing straight. People are not your enemy. According to this verse; The devil is your enemy. We say that he knows what button to push. He only push those buttons because we don't know how to stop him when he does.
But how does he knows what button to push? We tell him. Yes we tell the enemy what weapons to use on us. He been studying us from the beginning. He knows our past. That's his weapon against us. He run around looking to see who he can attack.

I Peter 5:8 (NKJV)  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

But we have a more powerful weapon. THE WORD OF GOD  "JESUS CHRIST"  is your weapon.
Ok so how do we use That Weapon.  God tells us how to use it. Get in HIS word. Read your bible. Find out how to stand on the WORD OF GOD. You will not be moved. You will have victory all the time.
Let me arm you with some of the weapons to start with. Lots of time you hear good messages but you don't know how to start. So lets get ready for everyday battle. Believe it or not we are at war everyday.  So we need to be ready for the attack of the enemy.

How? I'm glad you asked.

Ephesians 6:10-17 (NKJV) The Whole Armor of God

10.Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11.Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13.Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.14.Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15.and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16.above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17,And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;

I Samuel 17:45 (NKJV) Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. ( The enemy will come to you with everything he has but all you need is God.)

Ok, so how do you have victory over your enemy?

Let me warn you it won't be easy. Remember you are in a battle. The enemy will fight you all the way. But you need to keep fighting for your freedom. But I guarantee you once you learn how to use this weapon, you will be free. As long he controls you you are in bondage.

What is this weapon?

The weapon of forgiveness. I told you it won't be easy. But you are not alone on this (I will get to that later). Now why shall we forgive? Well first of all the Word of God (Jesus Christ) tell us to.

Matthew 5:44 (NKJV) But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you

Jesus knows that the devil  uses others to try to control us.  And as long as we walk in unforgiveness he is in control. Sometime we don't even know that the devil is controlling us.

Luke 23:34 (NKJV) Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.” And they divided His garments and cast lots.

If Jesus ask the Father to forgive us then who are we not to do the same. Are we better then Jesus?

When we don't forgive it will hinder our prayers.

Mark 11:25 (NKJV) “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.

Ephesians 4:32 (NKJV) And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

Like I said before, it won't be easy because the devil will keep bring up what was done to you. He is the accuser because he want to be in control of your life.

John 5:45 (NKJV) Do not think that I shall accuse you to the Father; there is one who accuses you—Moses, in whom you trust.

Jude 1:9 (NKJV) Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, “The Lord rebuke you!”

Revelation 12:10 (NKJV) Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.

So break the control the enemy has over your life by letting him know that you forgave or you have be forgiven. Forgiveness activate the power of heaven to come to your defense. That other thing is that as long as you have unforgiveness in your heart whether tour others or yourself the enemy is control. Remember people are not your enemy.

Unforgiveness will stop your miracle:

Matthew 9:6-7 (NKJV) But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins”—then He said to the paralytic, “Arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.”7And he arose and departed to his house.

Lots of people quote the Lord's Prayer but do you really mean it. Especially this  one:

Matthew 6:12 (NKJV) And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. ( Just think about that for a minute) Would you like God to forgive you as you forgive other?

Luke 17:4 (NKJV) And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.”

I John 3:10 (NKJV) In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother. ( Which one are you)?

The Parable of the Unforgiving Servant

Matthew 18:21-35 (NKJV) Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?”

22Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven. 23Therefore the kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. 24And when he had begun to settle accounts, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents. 25But as he was not able to pay, his master commanded that he be sold, with his wife and children and all that he had, and that payment be made. 26The servant therefore fell down before him, saying, ‘Master, have patience with me, and I will pay you all.’ 27Then the master of that servant was moved with compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt.

28“But that servant went out and found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii; and he laid hands on him and took him by the throat, saying, ‘Pay me what you owe!’ 29So his fellow servant fell down at his feet and begged him, saying, ‘Have patience with me, and I will pay you all.’ 30And he would not, but went and threw him into prison till he should pay the debt. 31So when his fellow servants saw what had been done, they were very grieved, and came and told their master all that had been done. 32Then his master, after he had called him, said to him, ‘You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you begged me. 33Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, just as I had pity on you?’ 34And his master was angry, and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him.

“So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses.”

Do you want God to deal with you the way you deal with others? Something to think about.

In closing:

As long as you walk in unforgiveness the person you don't forgive is in control of your life. Yes the devil is using them to get to you so why aren't you mad at him instead of the people. Don't let anyone steal your joy or ruin your day. Forgive and go on with your life, they have. You will have a happier life.

James 4:7 (NKJV) Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

May The Lord Bless You As You Walk With Him.
